Locke & Key is a new supernatural horror drama web series that first released on Netflix in February of 2020. Locke & Key Season 2 is now resuming production after the end of the COVID-19 lockdown.
The show is based on comic-book series of the same name created by Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodríguez. Locke & Key is about a family (the Locke family) that moves to a haunted house after the murder of their patriarch. According to recent reports, Locke & Key has added a few new actors to its main cast.
The official Locke & Key Instagram account shared a socially-distant photo of cast members Connor Jessup, Jackson Robert Scott, Emilia Jones and Darby Stanchfield, who all appear to be at their respective homes. Jessup and Jones also have their digital copies of the script for Season 2’s first episode, “The Premiere,” on hand. “Season is now in production!” the caption reads. “Drop an aloha if you’re excited.”
Netflix’s Locke & Key Season 2 Release Date
Netflix’s Locke & Key Season 2 Official release date hasn’t been announced yet by makers. But we can expect it in late 2020. But still, no official remark as show production and filming can be delayed even more due to the COVID outbreak, or at Spring 2021 at the earliest.
For now, fans can just relax as the production of the show has just begun, with few new cast.
Locke & Key Season 2 Plot Expectations
We’re expecting the show to continue sticking with the comics for its main story arc but it has been mentioned that it could diverge with the creators saying: “We want to be sure that the ending works for the TV series and we’re not just forcing ourselves into an ending for endings’ sake.”
When asked about changes in the Netflix series, Joe Hill said: ” It has to work as a TV show. It has to succeed in the possibilities and limitations of its own particular form.”.
