Rhea Chakraborty Was Arrested And Charged In Narcotics Case
Rhea Chakraborty was being investigated by the Maharastra Police in connection with Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case. She was arrested on Tuesday evening by the Police and was ordered to be into judicial custody for 14 days just after her arrest in a separate narcotics case.
Rhea was arrested and taken to the Byculla Jail in Mumbai by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) office.
Rhea Chakraborty’s Arrest Related Information
During a video hearing, Rhea appealed for her bail, but the court rejected her appeal. She spent the last night in the Narcotics Control Bureau’s lockup and after that, she was taken to Byculla jail because Byculla is the only jail available in Mumbai where female inmates were taken.
According to the sources, Rhea could face 10 years in jail according to the charges on her.
KPS Malhotra, NCB Deputy Director said in a statement that Rhea Chakraborty, the 28 years old actress, has been arrested and the arrest information was provided to her family.
According to the news sources, Satish Maneshinde, Rhea’s lawyer, was expected to plead for Rhea’s bail on the 9th of September.
Case Investigation Information
According to the NCB report, the one drug case in which Rhea was arrested on this early morning is not related to Sushant Singh Rajput’s death directly.
Moreover, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is investigating the death case of Sushant Singh Rajput after his family filed a complaint to Maharastra Police.
There is no information if Rhea was addicted to narcotics or was taking narcotics. The Bureau officers also arrested Rhea’s brother and Sushant’s manager with the relation of supplying narcotics to Sushant.
